I recently have had breast surgery with Marcos Sforza at The Hospital Group. After many years of feeling down about the shape of my breast, I finally plucked up the courage to see Marcos about an uplift, during my consultation I was made to feel at ease and all my worries and concerns were answered and addressed. I then met Lisa Cane who had already had surgery with Marcos, she went through her experience as a patient as she now works for the company. Lisa was brilliant throughout my journey and because she has had the same procedure she answered all my questions honestly. I would definitely recommend THE HOSPITAL GROUP AND MARCOS SFORZA for surgery, he is the best surgeon in my eyes after working wonders on my breasts, I can't thank him enough, he is pleasant, caring guy.

Thanks for your continued support

He promised me I would have no pain and he was true to his word I have not needed a pain killer since having the surgery. I had post op complications with my blood the staff and surgeon was so attentive. Mr Hassan came back to the hospital and phoned the nursing staff several times throughout the day. I had a gastric band fitted by THG. I was collected by a driver on the morning of my op at 7am. Upon arriving at Dolan Park I was hurried into a side room for an ECG. The machine did not work after several attempts the technician finally went and got another machine. I then had to wait for 45 minutes for someone to collect me to go to my room. The reception area is so nice at the hospital, but the rooms are basically fitted out, my bedside cabinet was broken and the bed was rock hard. I was told not to eat or drink after midnight and was assured that I would have a.m. Surgery. I was put into my room by a very pleasant nurse and then nothing..... The room was stifling hot and I could not have a drink as I was going down soon. I eventually went down at 5pm. I saw no one in that time, but the noise level was ridiculous both inside the hospital with noisy trollies and outside as I had a cock crowing all day and then again at 3.30 am.

After surgery I woke up in my room very short of breath and having an oxygen mask on. I was in agony. I kept trying to take off the mask as it was making my throat dry and sore. I had not had a drink for more than 24hrs. I was anxious and in a lot of pain, as well as delerious because of the drugs.

I understood that I would be able to choose a light breakfast following my operation. At 6am I had a tray dumped on my bedside table with vanilla yogurt and a bottle of orange juice. I don't drink pure juice as I have very weak enamel on my teeth. The staff were disinterested and when I pressed my buzzer because the pain was so bad, I was ignored and had to get out of bed while feeling unsteady on my feet. The night staff were gone. The day staff were getting ready for the next lot of patients so did not want to know what was happening to me. When my friend arrived to accompany me home she found me in a very distressed state. I had five big dressings just underneath my breast line.

I said that I had not been discharged by a doctor yet and wanted to discuss my concerns. She informed me that while I was in my anaesthetic induced state my surgeon had come to tell me that he had conducted a "free" hernia repair? AT NO POINT WAS I TOLD THAT THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM. How can a surgeon come and explain that he has done this to you when he knows that you are still under the effects of the anaesthetic? I went back to the desk and was told that I had already been discharged the previous night. How could this be possible? My sats were low and I was on oxygen all night. My chart showed that they were still low at 5am, so. How could I have been discharged the previous night? I would have gotten better car on a car assembly belt as te whole process is reminiscent of a conveyor belt. Get them in, cut them up, get them out.

I feel like Frankenstein's monster!!!! I have 5 scars not three little holes. i have a long scar of about 5 cm and a shorter scar of about 3.5cm. I called them after 5 days as my scar was weeping and stinging. I ended up going to my local A&E. They were surprised as the severity of my scars and cleaned it up for me and put on a new dressing, as well as administering antibiotics and giving me a prescription for more.
I am at a loss as to what they would call aftercare. My experience of them.... AFTER we get your money, we really don't CARE!!

The only good thing about THG was Colin the driver.
I believed the celebrity endorsements.... Don't be fooled, these people are butchers!!!!

In January 2013 i had my first consulation with The Hospital Group I came in at a whopping 29st 7lbs with a BMI of 66 this was a major wake up call what happened next was the start of getting my life back in Febuary 13th I went to Leeds Nuffield hospital where i underwent a gastric bypass the staff at the hospital was amazing the care and attention you get makes you feel safe in what is a scary but life changing operation. The surgeon that did my operation was Thomas Halstead as far as i'm concerned and my families is one of the best surgeons not just in this country but i would go as far as saying world wide. This man and his medical team have given me my life back, after surgery i was high dependecy were i was recovering the care was excellant there was so many nurses around but the 2 that took care of me was Vicky and Dennis i would love to see them again and buy them a drink what they do is amazing. I spent 24hr on the high dependecy ward and then back to my room which i must say was again amazing very quiet and private all you need for a speedy recovery. As for dead face nothing will done as he says he didn\'t damage any nerves, then whey is my face dead. From the very initial booking of my consultation, booked through Lisa Cane, I was made to feel welcome and encouraged to ask any questions. This excellent treatment is continuing throughout my aftercare so I feel as though I have been very well looked after. I would go elsewhere if you are considering getting a gastric band!!!!
For starters, The aftercare of "THE HOSPITAL GROUP" is the worse i have ever experienced. I got gastric band back in 2010 as i was 21st. I ended up unwell, in and out of hospital for 3 months due to a few hick ups with the operation, The "Nurse" couldn't give a toss about how seriously unwell i was after the operation.... My mum was forever on the phone telling them about how i was always collapsing, in severe pain. It wasn't until i got rushed into hospital that they actually took care on me!!!!!!!!! Then........ Not so long after the operation, the band ended up snapping, i contacted the Hospital group for advice to see if they could help me as i had noticed that my bad wasn't restricting me. If I hadn't of contacted the surgeon who originally done the operation myself then I wouldn't have got my band fixed as they were basically saying i needed another gastric band put in place which would of cost the original £6000 which i had paid for. The surgeon done this for £2000! Sine then i have nothing but hell with the company, all they want is money money money, they don't actually care about your health. Go else-where trust me...... The girls at the actual clinic are lovely.... But as for the actual company, they don't give a t***!!

I had my breast Augmentation in October and I am really pleased with the results. Going to Dolan Park hospital was a good experience, the taxi service was brilliant and my surgeon and the whole procedure went well. The Newcastle clinic throughout have been terrible though! My first consultation was brilliant and I they were really informative but as soon as I paid things changed... The manager Alison was not very approachable/friendly or helpful and when ever I needed to speak on the phone to them she tried to rush you off! I got sent very minimal information about the procedure until afew days before. They said I had to get certain medical information to them and then they never actually sent it down to Dolan Park! They swapped my surgery day afew days before and didn't offer me any re-funding or any support with the hotel I had booked for my parents to stay. Alison also would not ask the transport service if I could have two people with me (my parents) as she said it was only one then the taxi driver on the day said it would of been fine but my Dad already was driving down seperate! The nurse at my pre-appointment told me I only needed to take one week off work then when i told her my job involved driving then I went to my post op appointment at two weeks an she told me off for driving and it was really hurting me! To top it off they have never arranged my post op with the surgeon and they now said he has left and they can only give me an appointment with another surgeon on a week day and I know they have new consultations on a weekend! I would definately not recommend the Newcastle clinic and think the Nurse and manager Alison need some re-training!!

I went to Dolan Park for a Gastric Band last month. Upon arrival I was left in reception for an hour, they had clearly forgotton me. Later, in my room the anaesthetist arrived. I asked for a pre-med as I knew I'd be very nervous going into theatre. I specifically asked for an amnesiac type drug so I would have no memory (previously given in an nhs hospital several times) The drug they gave me made me docile but NOT unaware.
After being wheeled into a dark cold theatre I was confronted by a masked person who made me lie down. He then TIED ME DOWN both hands and legs. I was absolutely terrified. My last memory is of screaming with pain as the general anaesthetic hit.
Many hours later, in the middle of the night, a nurse casually informed me I'd had a hernia repair as well as the band fitting. A free operation, yet I had no idea it was even a possibility. No mention was ever made at initial consultation.
Once I was more alert I looked at my chest and found not the three small wounds I was expecting but five. One very large, approx 3.5 long and glued in the middle of my waist. This will undoubtable scar badly.
The room I was in was incredibly hot so I opened the window, only to be kept awake by crowing cockerals all night. The following morning a nurse offered me vending machine chicken soup for breakfast (I'm lactose intolerant, which they were aware of months previously)and I awaited a doctor to discharge me. None arrived but a driver did. HE informed me I didnt need to see anyone and was to follow him. I had to call twice for him to slow down but he didnt. No one seemed to care that I was in pain, had very little idea what I was supposed to be doing or weather infact I was fit to travel. After a long horrible drive, I arrived home. The driver couldnt even be bothered to help me out of the car.
Five days later a lady rang me to check how I was. I asked about the hernia repair and she replied "I dont have your notes here, I just have to ring to make sure you're alright"!!

When I left Dolan Park I handed in a "Quality Survey". I left as much detail as possible and have heard nothing back.

My experience with The Hospital Group thus far has been horrendous, and I'm absolutely dreading further treatement. I'm due to go for an infill soon, but there is no way on God's earth Im going to Dolan Park.

I now have regular nightmares about what happened to me in the theatre and would never recommend anyone to to The Hospital Group for any kind of surgery. My GP was shocked when she saw my wounds, her words were "They have butchered you, haven't they"

There were a few notable good points: 1) The driver going to the hospital was chatty and eased my nerves. 2) The night nurse was polite and caring, allowing me to get some fresh air when it became insufferable in my room at 4am. That's about it.

I am wary of making a formal complaint as I have two years aftercare in my package and I cant afford to go elsewhere. I have no doubt the very poor service I received would be glossed over somehow.

I made appointments with various companies and surgeons. The worst consultation and clinic I found was transform. The 1st appointment was not with surgeon, it was with a sales pitch type interview with a book of pictures of befores and afters. It was horrific.
As soon as the sales pitch started, I instantly decided that the company was wrong for me.
I visited the hospital group which instantly puts you in touch with a surgeon to discuss your personal questions and thoughts ect. There is no pressure to book another appt, it's a free consultation and even the reception staff were kind and helpfull.
The surgeon I chose was mr sultan hassan. He had a great personality, easy to talk to, made me feel extremely comfortable and was very understanding to every detail I discussed.
I was shown many types of implants and shown/discussed many procedure techniques.
I booked my appt for surgery after a cooling off period (of which they suggest) they want to make sure your making the right decision and not rushing into anything.
My procedure details were explained by hospital staff. I met my surgeon prior in private hospital room, everything was gone over, confirmation of size, depth, shape etc.
Mr sultan hassan is who I recommend highly, he's details are on Internet and honestly girls..., he is the best. I knew exactly what it was I wanted. We discussed what type of clevage... Everything. I had my procedure yesterday and the aftercare is amazing.
I will definitely use the hospital group again in future.
There is a lifetime guarantee on the implants and and problem that may stride if any, are sorted out free of charge.

I was told about their horrendous aftercare but thought I wouldn't need it with a non surgical procedure. I was wrong! When you have lip fillers you have to visit again to have them massaged, this is a must. The customer service was just amazing when I first visited, of course it was, I'm a potential customer giving them money if they show they 'care'. I was one of the many fooled. Once you've had your procedure, you can forget about your aftercare or any care Infact. They branded me and one of my friends who visited a month earlier , as wasting their time. Purely because we weren't making them money with aftercare? So why would they care. They lied to me about various things after I had paid and mislead me with the outcome, results along with other things.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here, I think it would be better you just visit any cosmetic group down Harley street and they would do a better job!

I now go to Harley medical group for my Botox, fillers and recently started derma rolling and I can honestly say , professionalism and results at its best!

I'm only 1 week PO so not really seen the final result but I'm pretty confident it will look amazing as it does already. I can't praise the hospital group it's staff and my surgeon enough. From the word go everything was perfect. The consultation with mr sforza the patient care co ordinator Sam Myers everything was explained honestly I wasn't given false expectations and the price was competitive. I didn't have to wait long for an appointment for my tt either. I was picked up by there driver Ricky early he was polite chatty and calming, my arrival at dolan park was welcoming I was shown to my room given my operation time and everything was on time as said. Every single nurse I was cared for by was amazing I was treated with such care by everyone at dolan park. My surgeon even did free liposculpture of my hips ad waist which was an added bonus. When I was discharged 2 days later I honestly didn't want to leave. The hospital group have changed my life and I am finally happy with my body MASSIVE thumbs up x

I have had 4 op with the hospital group, first op got an infection and nearly died from the poor work and hygiene, second boob job had to have them out for 3 months, thirdly had them back in and developed symmastia due to the poor work which the surgeon cut through my sternum and as left me with no cleavage. Fourth op had my implants taken out and replaced with dissolvable sutures which I did not want the surgeon did this without my consent untill after surgery I found out. Now i am left with symmastia still. Not only have I been through hell I also got stalked by a surgeon at the hospital group and I did report it and got nothing back I do not recommend the hospital group to anyone they just want your money. 7/11/12

Wouldn't recommend. I was told that I was going into surgery in the morn. It's came to lunchtime and still hadent gone in. Wasn't told anything. I went up to reception to find out when I was going in and they just said soon. By mid afternoon still wasn't taken down. Surgeon came to see me to measure me up. But didn't know what time I was having the surgery done. It got to 5 and the receptionist was unhelpful. The hospital was like a ghost town. Finally got taken to surgery at 8.30.

I had breat augmentation 6 yrs ago at the hospital group.

Then found I had pip after me ringing and chasing them 6 times !
Since finding out I decided to have them taken out as the hospital group offered two toes of implantant which really confused me. This just made me more worried. I found my consultant to be insensitive as she asked me "what about all the skin which will be left" if she knew what she was talking about she would have known its the same as your belly when being pregnant so go back some don't,

My surgeon was brilliant mr Payne I thought he was the only good thing about the hospital group. All nurses didn't seem to know a thing about removed of pip's.

I would not recommend the hospital group

I had botox & ended up with droopy eyelids & an imbalanced look of my eyebrows. Movement came back very quickly too & i'm told that usually happens when the product is over diluted. The hospital Group clearly are only interested in profit & taking your money... not the satisfaction of the customer or the result!

Was a mistake choosing the Hospital Group !

I would advise against choosing The Hospital Group for any surgical procedure. They picked me up at 3am for the actual procedure as i was 4hrs away from the hospital so i had no sleep prior to operation, then following my operation after I had not slept again they took me out of the bed at 7am as it was needed for the next person & said I should go home, i was in a lot of pain & they made me suffer a 4hr drive journey home to which I collapsed on there driver beause i was dismissed with a blood pressure of only 58 !!! They haven't even apologised following my complaint ? Many of the hospital staff are not medically qualified & are just assistants which was worrying as i told them I didn't feel well but they dismissed me anyway. This company is interested in your money only... once they have that then they don't really care about your treatment & comfort. I am now planning to get some vaneers & will cetainly be taking my business elsewhere :o)

I paid £7,500 for a gastric band fitting in 2008, it has failed and they will bear no resposibility. I would have to pay again for x-ray and repair. I do not think 3.5 years is value for money!

Hiya Marcos Sforza is great and very nice too! Very laid back in consultation but Before and after surgery he was lovely and did a great job! nI'm very pleased.

I had breast enlargement with THG in May. I'm glad I'd chosen them and am extremely pleased with results. My surgeon was Marcos Sforza, he's lovely! The only down side was going to Birmingham for the op as I live further north but I was well looked after.Good luck :D

The staff were friendly and helpful. The surgeon was really nice and he was able to answer all my questions at the consultation as I was worried about being able to breast feed. The other thing that I wasn't sure about was what size implants to get. The surgeon helped with this at the consultation and I went for 325cc implants. I am happy that I choose the hospital group.

Mel: hi what size were you before?

Hi Mel, I was 32B before and the 325cc breast implants made me a full 32c. Are you thinking of booking with the hospital group? ... what size implants are you thinking?
